This design was created by student Nora Vandeloecht in 2016, based on a sketch Walt drew on his parents Marceline farmhouse in thick black tar in 1908. The memory of that moment was passed on by his younger sister Ruth who remembers Walt painting a bird sitting in a nest. Sadly the tar had hardened upon their parents return and that original art was a permanent fixture of the Disney's farmhouse for the duration of their stay in Marceline.
